Khalaf Bushara

Dr. Bushara is a movement disorders specialist with special interest in ataxia and diseases of the cerebellum. Dr. Bushara is a graduate of the University of Khartoum, Sudan. He was trained in internal medicine and neurology in the United Kingdom, where he was elected as a member of the Royal College of Physicians (London). He completed a neurology residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a fellowship in Movement Disorders at the human motor control section at the National Institutes of Health gaining experience with ataxia patients and functional imaging research. Dr. Bushara is currently conducting clinical research to explore the wheat-ataxia association and to use functional MRI focusing on the functions of the cerebellum, including movement control and cognition.
