Matt Bower, MS

Matt Bower is a genetic counselor who sees patients with inherited neurologic disease and also works in a diagnostic molecular genetics laboratory. He graduated with a B.S. in biology from the University of Notre Dame in 1995. He completed a master’s degree in genetic counseling at the University of Minnesota in 2001. He has worked at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview since 2001. His specific clinical interests include the genetics of movement disorders including ataxia, Parkinson disease, and Huntington disease. He is currently working to apply new genetic testing technologies to the complex field of neurogenetics.
